In less than one year on the popular micro-blogging site, @actlaw the ACT of Communication® Twitter has reached over 5,000 followers organically and continues to grow at a swift pace. Since 1977, the founders of ACT of Communication®, Alan Blumenfeld and Katherine James, have brought state-of-the-art trial communication skills to over 30,000 attorneys and their witnesses. Today, ACT of Communication® continues to lead the legal industry in trial consulting by utilizing technology like social media platforms to educate, engage and communicate with legal professionals around the world.

Twitter is a very important online channel for the company’s marketing, public relations, client relations, and social networking efforts. Through this platform, ACT of Communication® has reached out and stepped closer to its audience and clients, engaging them into conversations, soliciting feedback to improve its programs and workshops, replying to mentions and inquiries, connecting with bloggers and online media, and going beyond the use of Twitter as a social networking tool that makes the company stand out in the legal community.

Katherine James, the author of ACT of Communication®’s Twitter @actlaw artistically utilizes the platform to build its brand, educate the community on issues relating to trial and legal advocacy and to tap into the collective knowledge of her followers and learn new insights.   Katherine is especially dedicated on engaging her followers into conversations outside of Twitter to gain a better understanding on what they think, say and feel about current legal issues, and to realize how she can enhance ACT of Communication®’s services and programs to best fit the needs of today’s client.

“We are thrilled and grateful to have one of the fastest growing legal microblogging sites on Twitter,” said Alan Blumenfeld, Founder of ACT of Communication®. “With social media vehicles like Twitter and Facebook, we are able to communicate and to connect with a wider audience.  This is just one more way we are using technology to educate and to engage people who are in the legal world on “What Can Lawyers Learn from Actors?SM.”
